Mustapha Jamal
Moose is a Tennis Canada Certified Club Professional 3 with nearly 15 years of coaching experience, sending several players to University Scholarships and coaching the # 1 Over-70 Women’s Player in Canada.
He is also an ITF Certified White Badge Chair Umpire and International Line Umpire, with multiple Grand Slams and the Olympic Games under his belt.
Moose prides himself in being adaptable and able to coach players of all ages, levels and interests.
mike kool
Mike Kool has had over 39 years of experience as Head Pro.
In that time he has developed a very successful elite junior program that has produced both Provincial, National and World Champions.
He is especially proud of the many NCAA tennis scholarships his students have achieved.
Many of Mike’s students, which include Moose, have gone on to run other Clubs and Academies all over Canada.
He works with all levels and ages to help them reach their full tennis potential and also is a valuable mentor to youth as they develop through the various tennis stages. Mike has over 300 Junior Academy alumni and is looking forward to foster and grow the passion for tennis that Ancaster Tennis Club members possess.
bruce stead
Bruce is a Tennis Canada Certified Coach 1. Growing up in Oakville as a multi-sport athlete, his dedication to tennis led him to rank among the top 70 tennis players in Canada and earn a scholarship to NCAA Division 2 school Brevard College in North Carolina.
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Bruce has successfully worked with players of all ages and skill levels—from beginners and adult recreational players to top-ranked provincial and national juniors. Bruce brings exceptional technical expertise, tactical knowledge, and competitive insight to every session on the court. What sets Bruce apart is his ability to connect with his students, adapting his coaching style to the unique needs of each player.
Passionate about expanding the tennis community, Bruce is dedicated to fostering a love for the game from an early age. He believes that tennis can be a rewarding lifelong pursuit and strives to help his players not only excel on the court but also build confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of community. He strongly believes that tennis is a sport for everyone.
Mira Bellavia
Mira is a Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 . She started playing tennis when she was four years old and played competitively for eight years.
She is a well-rounded instructor with six years of coaching experience working with adults, intermediate, and junior players. At the age of fourteen, she began her coaching career by helping out with beginner classes.
Now, she is an experienced coach who loves to see people play her childhood sport.
Mia Soccio
Mia Soccio is a Tennis Canada certified instructor. She started playing tennis when she was four years old and played competitive junior tennis. She continued her competitive career at the university level, competing as the line 1 player for the York University Varsity Tennis Team.
She has been a coach for over five years and has been working at Ancaster Tennis Club over the past four summers. She has experience in working with children, junior players of all levels and adults.
Mia's background in competing along with her passion for tennis makes her a well-rounded coach who loves teaching people the sport that she loves the most. Mia is available to coach at Ancaster Tennis Club exclusively during the outdoor season.
